If you apply for a role with us (regardless of whether this is for a direct role, which includes executive recruitment, or for a contractor or worker position) or register an interest in working for us, we use your personal information in connection with this application
This Notice should be read in conjunction with the Overview.
What processing activities do you undertake that include my personal information?

We undertake candidate application sifting and scoring for graduate and apprentice roles, summer internships, industrial placement and related schemes.

We may also use automated processes to sift applications for required qualifications.

Decisions are made about which candidates to reject or invite to later stages of the application process based on automated screening and scoring processes.

For some roles, you will complete a video interview assessment and/or other online ability assessment as part of the application process. Your responses are automatically marked within the assessment software, which may make use of artificial intelligence. These assessments are used to assess evidence of pre-determined job role and/or scheme competencies and cognitive abilities.

Your score is calculated from the responses you give during the assessment and may be compared to cut-off scores which are set for these assessments. A decision as to whether you proceed in the application process or are rejected is made automatically as a result of your score in these assessments.

For further information in respect of your rights in relation to automated-decision making, see “Processing based solely on automated decision making" in the Overview section.
