Fremantle College students perform at Henderson shipyard

Year 11 and 12s gave us a special preview performance, on their way to the Gidgestock Music Festival in Gidgegannup, 40 kilometres north-east of Perth.

The school group was able to tow their new lightweight solar stage to the festival, thanks to our trainee tradespeople, MMD Naval Architects and Capral Aluminium who worked together to redesign and manufacture the College’s original portable (but too heavy) stage.

A wonderful, inspiring way to be able to use our industry skills to help the local community –  what a great group of teachers and students!
