Hunter Class Frigate Program team receives Defence Industry Service Commendation

The commendation recognises our team’s contribution to the successful completion last year of the arrangements necessary to commence the Hunter Class Frigate Program in earnest – the negotiation and agreement of the Head Contract and the acquisition of ASC Shipbuilding.

This work has laid the foundation for continuous naval shipbuilding and sovereign capability in Australia which will not only deliver nine state-of-the-art frigates but thousands of jobs within BAE Systems and across the supply chain for decades to come.
