Our Community Impact Grant program is driven by employee nominations and is a core part of our commitment to supporting our neighbors' critical needs in our communities.
Electronic Systems’ Community Impact program focuses on advancing the work of nonprofit organizations that provide BAE Systems’ neighbors with essential human services during times of critical need.
Our employees are invited to nominate local nonprofit organizations they believe are effectively meeting critical needs in our communities.
Featured grant recipients:
- CUMAC (Paterson, NJ) – CUMAC’s mission is to fight hunger and its root causes through holistic, trauma-informed approach that provides groceries and basic needs to families and individuals in need. Our grant was utilized to help CUMAC continue feeding families in need.
- Girls Inc. of New Hampshire (Manchester, NH) – The mission of Girls Inc. is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. Our grant was utilized to purchase Chrome books to provide access to technology for girls while they continue to learn remotely due to COVID-19.
- Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP) (Hiawatha, IA) – HACAP focuses on 5 initiatives which provide solutions to locally identified issues, including health and nutrition, energy conservation, children, homelessness and veterans support. Our grant was awarded to assist in their disaster relief efforts caused by a summer derecho storm.
Grant requests
While greater consideration is given to organizations that have been nominated by our employees, we encourage all non-profits that meet our criteria to apply. If you believe you meet the eligibility criteria for this grant program, please proceed to the application within our online grants portal. Please ensure you respond Yes to the question “Is this request for Electronic Systems?” when submitting your application.
There are three Community Impact program application deadlines each year: February 15, June 15, and October 15.
Applications received after October 15 will be considered for the following year. We will inform applicants of our funding decision following each application deadline. If you have not received communication with a decision, your application is still under consideration.
