Future battles will be fought across multiple domains - land, air, sea, space and cyber - simultaneously; they will be driven by data derived from sensors on crewed and uncrewed platforms operating across all domains

To make the right decision

Decisions involving many variables will need to be made in milliseconds. Many current solutions lack the coherence, connectivity and intelligence required to allow decision makers to visualise, exploit and disseminate data at a speed that can outpace their adversaries.

We are working with partners, and investing in product development, to overcome the challenges of Multi-Domain Operations and Integration (MDI). Our solutions enable actionable information when it’s needed most. We call this decision advantage.

About Multi-Domain Integration (MDI)

The future battlespace is a highly complex and fast paced environment. Multi-Domain Integration (MDI) is the ability to connect digital technology across every part of defence, including government departments and the UK’s allies, to enable decision advantage.

Technology already exists as part of the modern battlespace. But how can it be used effectively to provide a full intelligence picture, increase the situational awareness of personnel ‘on the ground’, inform decisions, and ultimately save lives in some of the world’s toughest environments?

When integrated across multiple domains; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance technology will form the building blocks required for military users to decide on and communicate their next move.

There is a requirement for multiple forces to work together to generate greater decision advantage. We must also embrace solutions from across the whole SME ecosystem if we are to counter future threats such as hypersonic weapons or counter and exploit Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) Integration.

We have a team of experts dedicated to advancing technology that supports multi-domain integration. Their mission is to build next-generation digital solutions for our defence customers - providing them with the right information at the right time. We call this decision advantage, and it is possible when information and systems integrate effectively across every domain.

Many in the team have served in the armed forces, so they have first-hand experience of the complexities of the information battlespace, and they are passionate about advancing technology to outpace our adversaries.

To overcome these problems and help our customers achieve military advantage, we have applied decades of experience through:

  • Integrated C2/C4I network solutions across Air, Land and Maritime domains; and
  • Cloud, CEMA and intelligence systems across government
  • Research and development for Defence and Space customers
  • Proven multi-domain capability across land, air, sea, space and cyber
  • International expertise through the delivery of C4I products, services and solutions integration in the UK and to selected overseas markets
