What processing activities do you undertake that include my personal information?

If you apply to Movement to Work, your personal information will be processed by the Company in order to both assess suitability for the programme and to manage and administer the same.

What categories of personal information are included in these processing activities?

We will process Identity Information, Contact Information, Immigration Information and information relating your employment and education, including school name and town, nationality and emergency contact details.

In addition, the Princes Trust form which is provided to us also captures mental health problems, disability, convictions or cautions, drug or alcohol use, housing situation, whether receiving benefits and which ones, religion and sexual orientation.  This is special category personal information.

What is the reason for these processing activities?

We carry out these activities in order to support our education strategy.  This includes aiming to:

  • enthuse young people about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM subjects) and encourage them to pursue these subjects at school, college and university
  • enthuse young people about the Company and to encourage them to aspire to making their career with the Company
  • promote positively the Company in the communities in which we operate
What are the legal grounds you rely on to carry these out?

This processing is necessary for the purpose of the legitimate interests pursued by the Company or its customers and contacts.

What are the 'legitimate interests' referred to above?

The Company considers that it has a legitimate interest in promoting its education strategy and to make a positive contribution to local communities by offering local individuals the opportunity to experience programmes with the Company.

As this processing may include special categories of personal information, in addition to the above, what are the additional legal grounds you rely on to justify this processing?

This processing is needed for carrying out our employment law obligations, including health and safety requirements.

This processing is necessary for reasons of substantial public interest.

To the extent that you did not get this personal information from me, how did you collect this information?

We receive the personal information from the Princes Trust. We may receive information from other sources as set out in this Notice (see “Where do you get my personal information from?” in the Overview section).

Who do you share this personal information with?

The personal information is shared internally, as set out in this Notice (see “When do you share my personal information with others?” in the Overview section).

In addition, some of your personal information will be shared externally with the Princes Trust and an external training provider as needed, and as otherwise set out in this Notice (see “When do you share my personal information with others?” in the Overview section).
