A new £6 million link road on Bishopton’s Dargavel Village development was today officially opened to the public. Derek Mackay, MSP for Renfrewshire North and West and Councillor Mike Holmes, Depute Leader of Renfrewshire Council, joined local residents at a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of Craigton Drive.

Our apprenticeship programme has today been awarded the Princess Royal Training Award, in recognition of our outstanding training and skills development programme.

BAE Systems has pledged £300,000 to the Bishopton Community Trust to help improve and develop new sports and recreation facilities for local residents and sports teams, and today the Company presented the Trust with the initial £100,000 payment.

The programme to transform BAE Systems' site in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria is gathering pace with the award of another major contract and erection of the first steelwork for the largest of the planned new facilities to build Successor, the replacement for the Vanguard class submarines.
