Sensor Independent Integrated Defence Aids Suite (SIIDAS)

BAE Systems' Sensor Independent Integrated Defence Aids Suite (SIIDAS) represents Australia's premiere aircraft survivability equipment system.

It is designed to realise the Australian Defence Force's vision to provide common Electronic Warfare Self Protection (EWSP) for a range of rotary and fixed wing aircraft.

The Australian Defence Force selected SIIDAS as their EWSP suite of choice delivering self-protection capability to the Australian Army's S-70A-9 Black Hawk and CH-47D Chinook helicopter fleets under project Echidna Phase 2A.

SIIDAS provides state-of-the-art integration of commercial Electronic Warfare sensors, countermeasures and intelligent suite control, providing a Network Centric Warfare capable, highly effective aircraft self-protection system and an unprecedented level of situational awareness to aircrew.
