Chris Keane is the Chief of Future Business
Chris is the Chief of Future Business and a member of the Executive Lead Team for BAE Systems Australia.

Chris was previously the Head of Government Relations for BAE Systems Australia and has spent the past two and half years leading external stakeholder engagement for the company, and supporting major campaign activity. This recently culminated in the SEA 5000 campaign, with BAE Systems’ selection as the preferred tenderer to deliver nine Future Frigates for the Royal Australian Navy.
Chris has a background in economics and finance, spending a decade in senior government advisory roles focussed on industry, superannuation and defence policy in both State and Federal Government.
He joined BAE Systems Australia in 2006 and in that time has held a variety of senior executive positions across the organisation in general management, strategy, business development and M&A roles across all domains in the defence sector.
Chris sits on a number of industry advisory boards, including the Defence and National Security Advisory Committee. Chris is particularly passionate about the role collaboration can play in the development of Australia’s sovereign defence industry capability and this has been a focus of many of the roles he has held at BAE Systems.
Chris is married to Sascha and has two young children. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family and is a passionate supporter of the Adelaide Crows and Adelaide United football teams.
