
From its location at RAAF Base Wagga, NSW, BAE Systems delivers aviation technical training to ADF aircraft technicians. Our high quality facility provides students with access to aircraft and state of the art simulators, and is recognised for delivering technicians of an exceptionally high standard.
This competency based training consists of both Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) from the Aeroskills Training Packages and Non-Nationally Recognised Training that has been developed in conjunction with the ADF.
BAE Systems conducts all NRT operations under Registered Training Organisation (RTO) 91134.
Qualifications or Statements of Attainment
Upon a student meeting all academic and competency requirements, Qualifications or Statements of Attainment will be issued from these training packages:
- MEA40618 Certificate IV Aeroskills (Avionics)
- MEA40718 Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical)
- MEA41318 Certificate IV Aeroskills (Structures)
- MEA30318 Certificate III Aircraft Life Support and Furnishing
Study and course entry requirements
Study is completed full time with most training conducted Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm.
Students enrolled as an Armament Technician will complete approximately 22 weeks of Aeroskills training at BAE Systems before transferring to the ADF at Orchard Hills, NSW, to complete their studies.
