Based in Sydney, New South Wales, Kimaka MM is a Supply Nation certified, First Nations-majority owned electrical procurement and supply business operating nationally across a range of industries.
Kimaka MM will supply a broad range of cable sets across multiple grades to outfit each Hunter class frigate, supporting increased participation of Indigenous businesses in Australia’s naval shipbuilding enterprise.
In welcoming the contract award, BAE Systems Maritime Australia Acquisition Delivery Director, Andy Coxall, said:

“Having attended one of our BAE Systems Australia Supply Chain outreach sessions in 2025, we were pleased when Kimaka MM, with their strong commercial experience, reached out to further share their capabilities, which has resulted in this contract almost a year later.
“With the build of the first Hunter class frigate – NUSHIP Hunter – progressing on schedule, it’s a strong sign of momentum to see more Australian companies joining the program.”
