More than 230 representatives from Australian companies gathered for the inaugural AUKUS National Supply Chain Conference—the first time Australian industry has heard directly from the Australian Submarine Agency (ASA) and sovereign submarine build partners, ASC and BAE Systems, on the SSN-AUKUS Build Program supply chain strategy.

Attendees heard firsthand from the ASA, the UK Submarine Delivery Agency, ASC, and BAE Systems on program progress and potential pathways to join the future supply chain for Australia’s locally built, conventionally armed, nuclear-powered submarines, and potentially into the UK build program.

Working together with ASC, we are leveraging decades of collective experience in building resilient local and global supply chains to establish the enduring and sovereign industrial base required to build these next-generation submarines in the UK and Australia.

SSN-AUKUS is one of the largest industrial endeavours in Australia’s history, and Australian businesses will play a fundamental role in delivering this nuclear-powered submarine capability to both the UK Royal Navy and the Royal Australian Navy, strengthening the tri-lateral resilience and national security objectives of all three AUKUS nations.
