On behalf of all Australians, HMAS Anzac was formally farewelled on 18 May 2024 after almost 30 years of serving the Royal Australian Navy.

As the first ship of the Anzac class, HMAS Anzac was built at the BAE Systems shipyard in Williamstown, back when it was owned by Transfield Shipbuilding in the 1990s.

Many of our BAE Systems people have been part of HMAS Anzac’s life over the three decades. In this video, meet John, Ian, Bin, Peter and Simon. They share their stores of working together on HMAS Anzac’s original build and transition into service, and still work together on the Anzac class ships today.

Watch as their memories come alive and they say their final goodbye to HMAS Anzac. United We Stand.
