Scottish Widows
Scottish Widows is the administrator for the Mercer Master Trust (MMT) who manage your account from day-to-day. This includes processing your contributions, arranging investment fund switches and communicating with you on behalf of the MMT Trustees. Mercer Money
For personalised information regarding your pension please visit Mercer Money. Once registered on Mercer Money you will be able to:
- Monitor the value of your account and make changes to your investments
- Update your Selected Retirement Age (the date you plan to retire)
- Update your nomination of beneficiaries
- See the possible impact of paying different levels of contributions, create illustrations of the savings you might build up and estimate how much you may need to live on in retirement
If you have not activated your Mercer Money account yet you can get started by downloading the Mercer Money mobile app or you can go to Mercer Money. Please refer to accessing your pension account for the first time or watch the short video ‘How to activate your Mercer Money account’ found on the Scottish Widows website.
Your contributions
You pay 4% of your basic salary and your employer pays 7%. You have the option to pay an additional 1%, 2% or 3%, which your employer will match. These are referred to as ‘Matching Contributions’. Different contribution rates apply to BAE Systems employees who joined Digital Intelligence before May 2024.

To help boost your pension savings further you can also pay Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs). Please see below for how to make changes to your contributions via your employer. You are also able to make a direct payment into your respective MMT arrangement outside of your payroll should you wish. Please use the details on the Contact Us page to call the MMT who will be able to provide you with the form to start the process.
