Movement to Work is a voluntary collaboration of UK employers, from plc to SME, representing a range of industry sectors. Movement to Work tackles the issue of youth unemployment, through offering quality work experience placements to young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET), giving them the skills and confidence to take the first steps into their careers. Over 150 companies are members of Movement to Work, which has provided 100,000 placements to date, with over 50% of those completing placements going on to paid employment, apprenticeships or further study.

Are you a UK employer and would like to get involved?

Many members have found that Movement to Work is well positioned to facilitate a pipeline of diverse, talented candidates for apprenticeship programmes. In some cases, this has led to double digit increase in apprentice retention and progress achieved by candidates who have completed the Movement to Work programme compared to traditional entrants.

The impact to the individuals’ involved and wider industry is significant across the UK and we are keen to build on this momentum with your support. Whilst we have committed to help share awareness of the MTW scheme across our supply-chain, we appreciate that your ability and decision to participate is entirely at your discretion. We look forward to and encourage your commitment to this important industry programme.
