The ability to make the right decision at the right moment is paramount in nuclear deterrence. This requires fast reliable data, secure collaboration, and a commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technologies. BAE Systems is working alongside the Air Force to deliver precisely that, accelerating modernization efforts under the current Integration Support Contract (ISC).
“To keep our forces resilient and ready, we are constantly modernizing,” said Jenn Galloway, ISC Senior Program Director at BAE Systems. “Through digital transformation efforts, we are providing secure cloud integration, AI-driven automation, and advanced network optimization to deliver actionable intelligence and decision-quality information faster than ever before.”
Driving Secure, Collaborative Innovation
Traditionally, sharing data and securely connecting to government networks has been a slow process. These networks are built with robust security protocols, a necessary safeguard, but it often means lengthy planning, testing, and approval cycles. BAE Systems has overcome this hurdle, unlocking a significant collaboration advantage and the integration of advanced tools like artificial intelligence.
“By establishing a secure and rapid connection, we create incredible opportunities to work together in real time, leveraging powerful technologies like AI to accelerate decision-making, ultimately enhancing the Air Force’s ability to maintain a decisive advantage,” continued Galloway.
The BAE Systems team developed a rapid and secure solution to connect networks, accelerating delivery time by over 85%. This enabled cloud based generative AI (GenAI) capabilities and automated the Contract Data Requirements List review process, delivering faster insights with far less manual effort.
Delivering Mission Impact
This success underscores BAE Systems’ focus on automation, AI, and autonomy (A3), enabling decisive scalability and security advantages across programs.
“The team is applying this discipline on the ISC program, where we’ve cut delivery of software capabilities from 9 months to just 2 weeks,” Galloway explained. “That means fewer delays, faster feedback loops, and smarter tools getting to decision makers in record time.”
By leveraging A3 and secure cloud solutions, BAE Systems isn’t simply modernizing infrastructure; it’s empowering the nuclear deterrence mission with faster, more precise decision-making tools. Through innovative problem-solving and collaboration, the company is setting a new benchmark for digital transformation in defense operations.
