Overview
Multi-mission capable, the autonomous RTD has a commercially proven hybrid electric drive and can be equipped with various advanced payload systems such as electronic warfare sensors and 2.75” rockets with BAE Systems’ APKWS® laser-guidance kit . The vehicle also has the ability to be fitted with loitering munitions to defeat armoured and unmanned aerial threats.
RTD’s autonomous systems deliver increased situational awareness and decision space on the battlefield; keeping Soldiers out of harm’s way to identify, geo-locate, report and engage enemy forces before Soldiers enter the area.
