Located in a U.S. Navy mega-port and principal commercial area, BAE Systems Maritime Solutions Norfolk’s (NMS) primary customer is the U.S. Navy. The NMS shipyard is perfectly positioned to serve the requirements and needs of the Navy. The NMS team strives for superior customer satisfaction and on-time delivery of a quality product. NMS team also maintains extensive safety awareness programs, environmental protection best practices, and a clean, orderly facility. The full-service repair facility is ISO 9001 1994 and located on the Elizabeth River with excellent access to Hampton Roads, the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

BAE Systems Maritime Solutions Norfolk is extremely proud of its Apprentice Program, which provides the skilled workforce necessary to achieve success. Established in 1936, the program has become full-time and provides the opportunity to obtain a college degree. Through the years, qualified graduate apprentices have become skilled trade practitioners and have been promoted to the management team.
