This October marks the tenth anniversary of National Cyber Security Awareness Month. It is an effort sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in cooperation with the National Cyber Security Alliance and the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center to raise awareness and educate Americans about cybersecurity, and increase the resiliency of the Nation and its cyber infrastructure. Last year alone, the effort reached more than 500 million people through events, traditional and social media and other channels.

As a leading provider of cyber security products, cyber intelligence analysts and secure network and IT technicians and engineers, BAE Systems is proud to support this important global cyber effort. Throughout the month of October, we will be profiling some of our company’s top cyber experts, and sharing their views on the importance of cyber security, and what we can all do to mitigate risks to shield ourselves from cyber threats.

National Cyber Security Awareness Month encourages collaboration across all levels of government, the private sector, and internationally to ensure that our shared cyberspace is safe and resilient to security attacks.

Throughout October, we will be sharing cybersecurity tips, news and resources via our social media channels, including @BAESystemsInc on Twitter and on our Intelligence & Security Facebook page. You can join the Twitter conversation too; just remember to incorporate @cyber and #NCSAM into your tweets.
