FBI Celebrates Women In STEM with DeEtte Gray

DeEtte Gray at FBI Event
DeEtte Gray, president of BAE Systems' Intelligence & Security sector, was keynote speaker at the FBI's Women in STEM event.

At the event, titled “Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)," Gray highlighted the work the company does to support the FBI’s mission. She also discussed her career, which began as a teacher, and how she was inspired by the accomplishments of female STEM leaders like NASA astronaut, Sally Ride. Lastly, she spoke to the company’s support for STEM programs, and the volunteer mentoring work done by many BAE Systems' employees to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.

The event, coordinated as part of National Women’s History Month, was attended by FBI employees and contractors at the FBI HQ, and webcast live to all FBI field offices, reaching as many as 30,000 FBI employees.

Throughout the month of March, BAE Systems is highlighting the contributions of other female STEM leaders working across our company on our website. Each article speaks to what influenced these women to seek STEM professions, and how they hope to open doors for future STEM leaders.
