So, you can imagine the thrill he got when he opened the January 2013 issue of SIGNAL Magazine and learned that he was named AFCEAN of the Month by the non-profit organization.
“This recognition is very much appreciated, especially in noting that AFCEA is a global organization which brings together military, Government civilian and contractor personnel such as myself,” said Page.
Page manages a BAE Systems contract that provides IT solutions for the Defense Information Systems Agency Europe. In his spare time, Page has been a member of AFCEA for more than 25 years, and has served as secretary of its Stuttgart Chapter in Germany for more than 15 years. Over that time, he is credited with organizing a number of industry events to encourage command, control, communications computers and intelligence (C4I) professionals to meet, share ideas and build lasting bonds. For example, Page organizes the annual Stuttgart Chapter Golf tournament, which raises money scholarships which are given to high school seniors who are seeking college degrees in fields such as science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
“Page has proven himself to be a positive influence on so many people within and outside of the Stuttgart Chapter,” said AFCEA International.
Page’s dedication is also credited with helping to boost AFCEA’s Stuttgart chapter membership by more than 15%.
“He unselfishly volunteers to do both the large and the small jobs in AFCEA while simultaneously being a personable, professional and positive force for the chapter,” said AFCEA International.
