We are building local capacity through the creation of local joint ventures to train and resource the successful delivery of BAE Systems contracts. These include the creation of BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services (BSL), our Qatar joint venture company, and we continue to develop our partnership with Barzan Holdings.
The Hawk 167 from BAE Systems will facilitate the first phase of pilot training for the Qatari Emiri Air Force (QEAF), through a six year contract to deliver support and training to this new squadron at RAF Leeming in the UK. BAE Systems will provide Qualified Flying instructors through both live and synthetic training to both the QEAF and RAF pilots.
