Software-defined radio designed to run complex Link 16 waveform delivers enhanced command and control (C2) capabilities

The UK Ministry of Defence has awarded BAE Systems a contract worth £453.5 million for the full production of a new advanced radar for UK Typhoon aircraft.

Veteran and BAE Systems employee Rebecca Foran-Coutts has been awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) for services to Veterans and the Community in the 2026 New Years Honours. Former Chief Executive, Ian King, has also received a CBE for services to Transport and Defence following a career that spanned 40 years in the defence industry, including more than eight years as BAE Systems Chief Executive before retiring in 2017.

A cluster of British designed and built satellites has been successfully launched into low Earth orbit, providing defence, security and civil sectors with UK space-based intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance to enhance the nation’s ability to protect against modern threats.
