At a meeting in Kyiv earlier this week, BAE Systems announced it has established a local legal entity and signed agreements with the Ukrainian Government to ramp up the Company’s support to Ukraine’s armed forces and to explore the supply of light guns to Ukraine. 

The new five-year contract will see BAE Systems lead a consortium of trusted partners, including Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR), PA Consulting and L3Harris, to design and manufacture a deployable tactical Wide Area Network (WAN) known as ‘Trinity’.

BAE Systems plc (“BAE Systems” or the “Company”) announces that it has entered into a definitive Stock Purchase Agreement to acquire the Ball Aerospace business from Ball Corporation for c.$5.55bn in cash, subject to customary closing adjustments. The proposed stock transaction will be treated as an asset purchase for federal tax purposes, with an expected net present value tax benefit of c.$750m making the underlying economic consideration for the business c.$4.8bn.
