Bangkok, Thailand: Construction of the first BAE Systems designed Offshore Patrol Vessel for the Royal Thai Navy is now well underway in Thailand, as demonstrated this week at a formal keel laying ceremony at Bangkok Dock, the Company’s local partner.

Glasgow, United Kingdom: Scarborough, the second of three Offshore Patrol Vessels built by BAE Systems for the Trinidad & Tobago Coast Guard, has successfully completed sea trials off the west coast of Scotland and is on track to be delivered in October.

Portsmouth, United Kingdom: BAE Systems has today launched a long-term partnership with the University of Southampton, worth at least £1.25 million over the next five years. The tie-up is the second of four to be announced in the maritime engineering sector and is part of the company’s Skills2020 strategy, which aims to invest in the skills needed to remain competitive over the next decade and beyond.

Edinburgh, United Kingdom: BAE Systems has joined forces with wave energy developer Aquamarine Power as part of a project worth almost £1 million to deliver cheaper, more reliable sources of clean energy for homes across the UK and beyond.
