Two huge state-of-the-art gangways built to meet the unique demands of the Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers have arrived at Portsmouth Naval Base.

BAE Systems has signed a contract with the Commonwealth Government to further refine its design of the Type 26 Global Combat Ship (GCS) for the Royal Australian Navy under the SEA 5000 (Future Frigate) program.

The first complex warship to be built at Glasgow since the last Type 45, HMS Duncan, has successfully completed its journey from BAE Systems shipyard at Govan on the Clyde and is now safely docked at the company’s Scotstoun facility where she will complete final systems installation and testing.
