With software design and development for land, sea, air and transport the main activity at our Yeovil site, the challenges set were right up their street with such events as a Rubik Cube challenge, design a Super Hero and a quiz with a difference taking place recently.
Bridget Hill, St. Margaret's Hospice Community Fundraiser for the Yeovil area, said: "This is such a wonderful donation from the BAE Systems employees. It is great that they all had fun raising it and it will make a huge difference to the hospice. For example, this donation could pay for an inpatient for over four days care or laundry costs for the hospice for a whole month."
Natasha Harrison, Software Engineer and Charity Co-ordinator for BAE Systems said: “St. Margaret's Hospice was the clear winner in our staff poll as the charity that should receive this donation. They are a great local charity undertaking fantastic work at the Hospice in Yeovil and we are very proud to be able to support them.”
St Margaret's Hospice is a local charity committed to providing specialist palliative care, advice, support and respite to patients and their families living in Somerset and parts of neighbouring counties.
