Sally Topping receives the award for Best Business Apprentice

Celebrating achievements

The evening celebrated the achievements of the first and final year apprentices who have excelled in both the workplace and in their further education programmes.  The award winners were presented with a glass memento and a certificate to celebrate their achievement.

A family affair

The apprentices, along with members of their family, were given an inspirational talk by our Military Liaison Executive Drew Steel. Drew‘s speech, ‘Opportunity, Choice and Luck, showed what individuals are able to achieve if they give themselves the opportunities, make informed choices and have a bit of luck.

A new Award

As well as apprentices receiving awards, this year saw the introduction of the ‘Learners Voice Award’.  This gives apprentices the opportunity to vote for the area of the business that has given exceptional support to the Apprenticeship Programme.  There were three winners this year:  MEST; F-35 S430 building and Investment and Infrastructure Projects.

The evening came to a close with Managing Director Chris Boardman asking the audience to aim high and achieve what they know is possible.
