Our Project Control Foundation Scheme continues to go from strength to strength since its inception six years ago. Last year, to further enhance the scheme, we embedded a Higher Apprenticeship in Project Management into the programme.
The Association of Project Management recently visited our Warton site to talk to Project Management Director Ken Groves and Daniel Barron a first year Project Control Foundation Scheme student.
Check out the video: Higher Apprenticeships in Project Management: the Professionals’ Perspective.
The new Higher Apprenticeship is a nationally accredited work-based programme designed to meet employers’ needs at higher skill levels and include qualifications at a level equivalent to Higher Education. Individuals gain a recognised professional qualification, technical knowledge, professional skills as well as wider business competencies.
The adoption of the Higher Apprenticeship into our existing Project Management early careers scheme allows us to put the first part of the scheme onto a nationally recognised framework and provides an additional formal recognition of our Project Management capability.
