Eurofighter Typhoon is the most advanced multi-role combat aircraft available on the market today. Flexible, agile and enduring, it provides simultaneously deployable Air-to-Air and Air-to-Surface capabilities.
As well as conducting 24/7 year-round protection of the UK’s sovereign airspace on Quick Reaction Alert, Eurofighter Typhoon is regularly deployed on air policing missions to protect Baltic airspace, operating at extremely high readiness no matter what the conditions.
Consistently delivering high levels of operational availability in service with customer air forces, Eurofighter Typhoon continues to prove itself on operations across the globe, working alongside and fully interoperable with NATO assets.
As Europe’s largest collaborative defence programme, the aircraft is built on the strength of four key European nations and the capability and expertise of three of the world’s biggest defence companies.
BAE Systems and our partner companies are further upgrading the capabilities of Eurofighter Typhoon, through a series of phased enhancements, ensuring the aircraft will continue to evolve to meet operational demand.
The Phased Enhancement route map is underpinned by the development of an Advanced Electronically Scanned Array Radar, ready for operation at the end of the decade.
The Eurofighter support and training systems will continue to endure in parallel with the aircraft systems to support the aircraft’s enhanced capability and to optimize life cycle costs.
