Located between Pontypool and the market town of Usk in the Monmouthshire hills, our Glascoed base was built in 1940 and has been at the heart of the community ever since.
Our Glascoed site
Our Glascoed site is home to around 500 people, mostly from the local area, and has a thriving apprenticeship scheme and a heritage centre telling the story of the site.
Site features: free gym, indoor five-a-side football pitch, squash boxes, hosted gym sessions, cross-country team runs.
With historical connections to King Arthur, the Romans, and the Normans, there’s an abundance of things to see and do in the Monmouthshire area. Pontypool and nearby Newport offer excellent shopping and leisure amenities, whilst Usk is a thriving market town offering a growing range of independent shops, cafes, and craft centres. There’s opportunities to sail, windsurf, and fish at the Llandegfedd Reservoir, but if you’d rather enjoy a good meal and watch the world go by, Abergavenny has a fantastic range of restaurants to choose from.
