The design of Steady State Training and enabling the delivery of Interim training is a vital part of the development of the Royal Navy’s latest platform and its progression into service. Alongside the build and sea trials of the vessel, the ship’s company require training on the equipment and management of the vessel before deployment.

As Type 26 is being built by BAE Systems in our Govan shipyard, and we have a well-established relationship with our customer, DE&S, and the Royal Navy - our end user, we have been able to work quickly and efficiently to identify the training needs and develop training courseware.

Our close connections with DE&S, Royal Navy and other manufacturers gave us access to data and information at an early stage in the contracted activity. Working directly with the Royal Navy ensured thorough analysis and allowed us to design the correct courses, incorporating any necessary flexibility and changes as requirements inevitably alter and develop.

By working through a detailed, analytical staged approach, we have been able to progressively assure that the solutions we are delivering meet the need and expectations of our customer and the Royal Navy user.
