BAE Systems is exhibiting at EuroNaval 2026 in Hall 6 at Stand E30, in ZAC Paris Nord 2, Villepinte, France, from 3 to 6 November 2026. We're showing how autonomy, open software and proven maritime systems work together as one capability that navies can deploy, trust and upgrade over time. Our engineers and product leads will be on the stand throughout the show. You can ask them how each system works, why they made particular design choices and how the pieces connect.

How our autonomy and software connect maritime systems

Navies need to cover more water with the ships and people they already have. Autonomy and software help, but only when they run on systems built to work at sea, under pressure, for years at a time.

We build the autonomy, the software architecture and the platforms that carry them, showing how an uncrewed vehicle, a warship and its protection systems share information, so commanders see more, decide faster and keep crews out of harm's way.

Image of Herne XLAUV

Herne XLAUV

An extra-large autonomous underwater vehicle that patrols for long periods without a crew on board.

  • Proven autonomy: Powered by Nautomate, Herne followed complex routes and waypoints with no human contact during sea trials in Canada and the UK.
  • Missions: It protects undersea cables and pipelines, supports anti-submarine warfare and carries out surveillance.
  • Reconfigurable: Its software and modules can be changed quickly for each task, and secure communications share data with ships, aircraft and command centres.
  • Availability: We're developing Herne with Cellula Robotics under a ten-year exclusive agreement.
Sting Ray Mod 1 Lightweight Torpedo on a Merlin helicopter

Sting Ray Mod 1

An advanced lightweight torpedo that helps navies protect ships and submarines below the surface.

  • Flexible launch: It can be launched from frigates, helicopters and maritime patrol aircraft.
  • Upgraded core: It has a completely new sonar, a new tactical and navigation system and a new sea water battery.
  • Safer handling: Its insensitive munition warhead is safer to store, handle and transport.
  • Low support burden: It needs no intrusive maintenance, which keeps through-life costs low.
Global Combat Ship

Global Combat Ship

A multi-mission warship designed to support anti—submarine warfare, air defence and general purpose operations anywhere on the world’s oceans

  • Open systems architecture: Modular design facilitates through-life support and upgrades as new technology develops. With the ability to accommodate sub-systems to meet individual country needs.
  • Acoustically quiet hull: Designed to minimize underwater noise during operations.
  • Role versatility: Integrated Mission Bay and Hanger, capable of supporting multiple helicopters, UUVs, boats, mission loads and disaster relief stores. With a flight deck capable of landing a Chinook helicopter.
  • Shared commonality: creating opportunities for shared training, operational experience and shipbuilding skills.
The Mk 45 is the lightest, most compact 5-inch (127-mm) fully automatic naval gun in the world. It is built to integrate precision guided munitions with minimal gun modifications to ensure U.S. Navy ships have the firepower they need.

Mk 45 Mod 4

  • The Next Generation of Defense: Leading the shift toward C-UAS and C-Missile capabilities, anchored by the integration of the HVP to reset the cost-per-intercept ratio for the US and our allies.
  • Future-Proof Design: A compact, lightweight platform featuring flexible integration, a fully automated Ammunition Handling System (AHS) and native compatibility with next-generation Precision Guided Munitions (PGM).
  • End-to-End Lifecycle Mastery: Fully integrated domestic production and global fleet support, ensuring maximum weapon availability from initial manufacture through long-term sustainment.
  • Global Operational Dominance: Delivering low-cost, high-volume fires for air defense, the Mk 45 is trusted by 12 nations today, with three potential allies joining the fleet soon.
  • Strategic Technical Relationship: Initial conversations with Diehl Defence through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to integrate 127mm ammunition and explore IRIS-T missile integration, accelerating the delivery of integrated capabilities for the German Navy and its allies.
Adaptable Deck Launcher

Adaptable Deck Launcher System

  • Mechanical design agent for the Mk 41 VLS family, BAE Systems delivers the Adaptable Deck Launcher (ADL), a proven, low-risk solution for expanding combat power across the U.S. Navy and allied fleets.
  • Validated Combat Lethality: Recently proven through a successful live-fire test, the ADL doubles missile firing capacity within the footprint of legacy launchers, providing VLS-like reliability for surface strike and air defense.
  • Operational Adaptability & Reach: A modular, low-cost platform designed for Distributed Maritime Operations, offering flexible integration for platforms ranging from big-deck carriers and FFG(X) to medium unmanned surface vessels.
  • Seamless Logistics Integration: Leveraging the existing Mk 41 VLS electronics and logistics suite to ensure rapid deployment and expedited reloading at sea, maximizing weapon availability and combat endurance without returning to port.
