Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Engineer Abdullah Al-Kanhal, VP of Engineering and Assurance, BAE Systems and Chairman of the Executive Council for Cooperation with Universities and Research Centres, recently joined Advanced Electronics Company’s (AEC) Board of Directors.
Engineer Abdullah Al-Kanhal said: “BAE Systems is one of the largest global companies in the field of defense, aerospace and security, and we are a key source of engineering services and technical support in the Kingdom. Consequently, over the last 40 years we have been working closely with local business operating in the Saudi Industrial Sector. I hope my involvement with AEC will help contribute to the transfer of knowledge in the Kingdom.”
Dr. Ghassan bin Abdul Rahman Al-Shibl, CEO of Advanced Electronics Company said: “On behalf of the company’s management and employees, I’d like to welcomed Engineer Al-Kanhal onboard. Engineer Al-Kanhal is the Chairman of the Executive Council for Cooperation with Universities and Research Centres, which was established by BAE Systems Saudi Arabia. By creating this council, BAE Systems aims to develop and strengthen R&D links with universities in the Kingdom. This will also ensure the company develops close ties with partner universities to help ensure students are well-prepared prior to entering the labour market. These activities support BAE Systems desire to contribute to the advancement of engineering capabilities in the Kingdom.
