BAE Systems is delivering the campaign in partnership with seven local charities in Riyadh, Jeddah, Khamis Mushait, Dhahran, Taif, Tabuk and Majmaah. The collaboration brings together the company’s resources and capabilities with the charities’ local expertise and understanding of community needs, helping to identify students who would benefit most and coordinate the efficient distribution of school bags across the participating cities.
This locally led approach helps direct support efficiently and effectively, while strengthening collaboration with trusted organisations that understand the needs and priorities of their communities.
The collaboration demonstrates the importance of local partnerships in developing practical and relevant community initiatives that can reach beneficiaries and create a meaningful, sustainable impact across different regions of the Kingdom.
BAE Systems employees played a central role in delivering the campaign, volunteering at four company locations to prepare and pack the school bags with essential learning materials ahead of local distribution.
The Back-to-School Campaign builds on the continued growth of BAE Systems’ Community Investment programme in Saudi Arabia. In 2024, 41,000 people benefited from 85 initiatives spanning education, healthcare and quality of life.
By 2025, the number of beneficiaries had increased to more than 70,000, reflecting the programme’s expanding reach and the strength of the local partnerships. The programme works alongside local institutions and non-profit organisations to develop initiatives that respond to identified priorities and deliver sustainable value to the communities they serve
Supporting education is one of the principal areas of focus for the company’s Community Investment programme. Key initiatives in this area include the Smart Learning Lab at Waraqah Bin Nawfal Intermediate School at King Fahd Air Base in Taif and the Industry 4.0 Laboratory at the University of Tabuk.
These projects support access to modern learning environments and help young people develop knowledge and skills aligned with the Kingdom’s future needs. Alongside its education initiatives, the company has continued to invest in health and wellbeing through the Cancer Rehabilitation Lounge in Khobar and a cardiac care initiative at King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital in Taif. In partnership with Qalbi Charitable Society, BAE Systems donated advanced diagnostic equipment that is expected to support around 18,000 patients each year.
The breadth of BAE Systems’ initiatives, from equipping students with essential learning materials to supporting diagnostic and healthcare services, demonstrates the reach of its Community Investment programme and its ability to respond to a range of needs within society. This integrated approach connects support for future generations with improved health and wellbeing, strengthening the long-term impact of the company’s initiatives across the Kingdom.
