I joined BAE Systems as a Supply Chain Apprentice, where I combined structured classroom learning with hands-on experience across supply chain and procurement. Those early opportunities gave me a strong foundation and helped me understand how different parts of the business work together to deliver for our customers.
Since then, I've had the opportunity to build my career across both Procurement and Commercial functions, taking on increasing responsibility while continuously developing my skills and experience. From managing supplier relationships and commercial contracts to supporting major programmes, each role has given me the chance to learn, grow and broaden my understanding of the business.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my career has been the variety of opportunities available. I've worked across programmes supporting the Royal Saudi Air Force and Royal Saudi Navy, delivering commercial leadership across aircraft, training and naval programmes. I also completed a secondment in the UK, gaining valuable experience in a different operating environment and working closely with stakeholders across the wider organisation.

Today, as Deputy Commercial Director, I support commercial delivery across a diverse multi-billion-pound portfolio. Alongside programme delivery, one of the most rewarding parts of my role is supporting others to develop their careers, build new skills and grow their confidence. Throughout my own career, I've experienced how the right support, development opportunities and visibility of future career paths can help people grow, explore new opportunities and achieve their ambitions.
