Our communities
Our colleagues share their personal stories on what drives them, and why they chose BAE Systems.
We're committed to recruiting in the most inclusive way possible so we can welcome top talent from all kinds of backgrounds to our team.
Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
You'll need to be curious, ready to be challenged, and committed to making the most of opportunities here.
In terms of qualifications, you must have or be on track to achieve 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent) including Mathematics, English, and Science/Technical subject by August 2027. You must also be completing a relevant T Level, and in your second year of study by the time the placement starts.
We're an inclusive employer and we encourage people from a wide range of backgrounds to apply. Some roles at BAE Systems are subject to security and export control restrictions and your nationality or place of birth may limit the roles you can undertake.
Please note: We are unable to reimburse travel and expenses for industry placements.
We're committed to recruiting in the most inclusive way possible so we can welcome the best people from all kinds of backgrounds to our team.
The process begins with an online application, and we'll then invite you to perform a virtual assessment which will include gamified challenges and video questions. Based on this, an interview may follow, and if you are successful, you’ll be offered an industry placement.
T level applications will close on 31 March 2026.
