One of the things I enjoy most about my role is the variety it brings. No two days are the same; some days are spent reviewing regulations and developing key safety documentation, while others involve working with technical specialists, engineers and senior stakeholders across the programme to understand challenges and make informed decisions.
I am currently involved in developing the Safety Management Plan and Safety Boundary for MBDA FCAS, which involves bringing together knowledge from across the programme and working collaboratively with different teams. This requires a balance of independent work, such as producing reports and plans, alongside engaging with others to gather expertise, challenge ideas and learn from their experience.Prenavin, Senior Engineer – Safety and Certification
What makes this role particularly rewarding is the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of the whole programme while also exploring the technical details behind individual elements. Working on a unique and innovative programme means there is often no established path to follow, so problem-solving, collaboration and learning as we go are key parts of my day-to-day work.
