Team Tempest is a pioneering UK partnership bringing together the best of British industry –
BAE Systems, Leonardo, MBDA UK, and Rolls-Royce, alongside the UK Ministry of Defence. United by a shared ambition, we are developing the technologies, skills and expertise needed for the UK to lead the next generation of combat air.

Whether you’re an early careers apprentice, a graduate, an experienced professional or an Armed Forces veteran, we’re looking for skills like yours for the future of combat air. We need the engineers, the manufacturers, the technologists, the scientists and the thinkers of tomorrow to bring new ideas and ways of working across the partnership to deliver the UK’s Future Combat Air System (FCAS).

FCAS – the Future Combat Air System - is the UK’s national programme and requirement for next-generation air power. It represents the UK’s commitment to delivering a sixth-generation combat air capability—transforming how air power is designed, delivered and sustained. It goes beyond a single aircraft. It is a fully integrated combat air ecosystem, built to operate in an increasingly complex and digital battlespace.

GCAP – or Global Combat Air Programme – is the strategically important partnership between the UK, Italy, and Japan to develop and deliver the next-generation combat aircraft that will be at the heart of FCAS. Known as Tempest in the UK, this aircraft will be one of the most advanced fighter jets ever built.

There are a range of careers available across Team Tempest, whether you’re starting out in your career and looking for an apprenticeship or graduate programme; an experienced professional looking for a new challenge or an Armed Forces veteran wanting to move into an industry role –  we’re looking for a range of skills spanning project management, engineering, finance, commercial, security and many more disciplines
