The Company sets out four principles that describe its approach to the safety of products: Accountability; Level of Safety, Conforming Products; and Learning and Sharing Information. These principles apply throughout the life of the product and throughout the supply chain.
Certain responsibilities for the safety of our products can continue well beyond the contractual life of most projects. Adherence to well thought out Product Safety Management Systems (PSMS) reduces the risk of unintentional harm to people, property and the environment.
Our Policy covers the following requirements:
- Develop, implement and maintain an appropriate Product Safety Management System for sectors / businesses including management oversight;
- Work with customers and others so that, where reasonable, there is accountability for the safety of Products at all times throughout their life;
- Work with customers to agree the level of safety that is required for each product, seeking the highest reasonably practicable level of safety of those who might be unintentionally harmed by the product;
- Work with customers and suppliers to ensure informaiton is shared on use and performance throughout the life of each Product; and
- Ensure that appropriate independent investigation of incidents and accidents is undertaken.
