Our ambition is to embed responsible business practices across our global operations. We can’t achieve this alone, so it’s important that we collaborate and partner with our suppliers.

In 2025, we spent over £16bn with more than 22,000 suppliers globally across our supply chain. In recognition of the contribution that our value chain makes, we want our suppliers to be aligned with our own sustainability ambitions.

Resource efficiency

We expect our suppliers to operate responsibly by optimising energy use, managing materials sustainably, and preserving ecosystems. This includes improving efficiency, reducing waste, and minimising pollution. We’re aiming for net zero emissions by 2050 and encourage all of our suppliers to measure, manage, and reduce their greenhouse gas emissions while complying with applicable environmental laws and regulations.

Social value

We work with our suppliers to champion ethical practices, as well as make positive social and economic contributions in the communities and regions where we live and work.

Governance

Our success depends on being trusted by all our stakeholders, to uphold high standards of governance and business conduct. We have a well-established legal and regulatory compliance structure aimed at ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements and expect the same of our suppliers along with being transparent about activities and measuring progress.

Supply chain management

We work closely with our suppliers to ensure they are aware of our Supplier Code of Conduct. Our supply chain function establishes and manages enduring end-to-end integrated supplier arrangements, in partnership with the programmes it supports.

We conduct supply chain risk assessments and work with suppliers to address any identified key risks to their businesses and supply to our programmes which would include any risks associated with the supply of critical materials. Risk-based due diligence, for both new and existing suppliers, is carried out with reference to a range of financial and non-financial factors. Third-party toolsets are used to support compliance and risk assessments as part of these due diligence checks.

Supplier support

We value the relationships we have with our suppliers and the vital role they play in helping us to deliver equipment and services to our customers.

We aim to encourage innovation and flexibility, provide opportunities to access new business and share best practice.
