While BAE Systems has its own exciting sustainability technologies and research, we’ll only achieve our ambitious net zero goals by working with others. Climate change is an issue we all face together, so collaboration is the best approach. Working with an independent research company, we’ve created the paper below to explore some of the most interesting sustainability technology being developed by others in industry, start-ups and academia.

Our aim is to help inform the debate on how we use technology to get to net zero, and perhaps even inspire future partnerships.

Since net zero covers a broad range of topics, we’ve focused on five key areas:

  • Digital and data solutions
  • Energy and power efficiency
  • Materials and the circular economy
  • Replacement for rare earths and minerals
  • Peripheral scanning

If in reading this you feel inspired or think we could work together, please don’t hesitate to get in touch at the email below.

Technology Watch: Sustainability Edition
I hope the signals in this special edition of Tech Watch give you some inspiration for employing green technology in your own projects. We’re looking for improved product performance combined with greater sustainability, which we know our customers want, particularly in an environment where we need to demonstrate our edge - and fundamental ethical differences - to our adversaries.
