The course involves both Victoria and Laura studying part-time over a 2 ½ year period. Both have been able to benefit from the fact that it’s primarily delivered online (to minimise the carbon footprint), with the ability for them to join all other students once a year for a three-day residential at the Bedfordshire campus. The Apprenticeship, leading to an MSc, is delivered by experts from Cranfield’s School of Management and the School of Water, Energy and Environment and it was the perfect choice for both of them, as it’s designed for sustainability professionals across all management levels who are keen to improve or enhance their sustainability skills, knowledge and ability and for those, like Victoria and Laura, who are tasked to lead our organisation more effectively towards improved sustainability performance and create positive change.
Both are now in their 2nd year and are in the middle of studying a number of modules, which are delivered live on alternative Friday’s over a 6 week period with the task of self-directed learning in between with the full support of their team and the organisation. Victora and Laura will then be able to put all their knowledge into practice by completing a work-based project that addresses a sustainability challenge that we have within BAE Systems.
We are delighted to support both of them and we are very proud of the work that they are doing. It’s really helping to move BAE Systems forward in this highly crucial area.
Find out more from Victoria and Laura by hearing about their experience first-hand and how being part of this apprenticeship is really benefitting them both personally and in their ability to deliver their role.
