Platform Management Training

In support of the Type 45 Destroyers recently entering service with the Royal Navy, BAE Systems have delivered a Platform Management System Trainer used to train ships' staff on the safe operation of the Type 45 Power & Propulsion Plant.
Overview

It simulates a vast range of machinery faults, plus fire and flood alarms, to recreate realistic damage scenarios, giving crew members the opportunity to exercise command and control, recovering and reconfiguring the ship’s main systems in real time.

This works alongside the onboard training simulators installed on the ships, so crew members can continue to refresh and develop their training at sea.
