2014 Full Year Results

Five years ago today, the world’s attention was focused on the successful rescue of 33 miners trapped for 69 days 2,300 feet underground at the San Jose mine in Chile

90 years ago we saw the first flight of the Moth aircraft - one of the most iconic, innovative and important planes of all time. Designed and produced in 1925 by “The De Havilland Aircraft Company”, a predecessor of BAE Systems, the Moth encapsulates the technological innovation that still defines BAE Systems today.

The ‘Your Life’ campaign aims to inspire young people in the UK to study Maths and Physics and demonstrate how studying these subjects can unlock life and career opportunities.

Shaun Waddington, Engineering Lead on the project, explains how BAE Systems engineers are bringing tablet technology to the Typhoon aircraft.

BAE Systems Maritime Services has a proud record of delivering excellent development opportunities to a diverse range of young people through our apprenticeship and graduate programmes which are increasing year on year.

The team is excited and has already begun engineering and development work on this important program.
