2014 Full Year Results

Three Maritime Services apprentices have been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year at this year’s News Business Excellence Awards in Portsmouth. Matt Gordon, Head of Early Careers and Skills, tells us why they’ve been shortlisted.

Today we announced the Group’s full year results for 2017. We delivered a good performance, consistent with our expectations, and strong cash generation. At the same time, we’ve implemented steps to build on a firm foundation to deliver medium term growth and a stronger, smarter and sharper business.

2017 has been a remarkable year for the Aircraft Carrier Alliance, and this week we’ve made history again.

Today we look back 100 years since the first major battle in which tanks were used effectively.

Dean Kimber is Queen Elizabeth Class Output Management Team Leader at Portsmouth Naval Base. His role is to ensure that HMS Queen Elizabeth is fit and ready to meet her operational programme post vessel acceptance date, when her care will transfer from the Aircraft Carrier Alliance (ACA) to the Ministry of Defence (MOD).

On 16 August 2017, the largest and most powerful ship ever built for the Royal Navy – HMS Queen Elizabeth, the first of the Royal Navy’s two new Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers – sailed into her new home at Portsmouth Naval Base.
