Supported, and in partnership with the key industry associations and influential bodies, Space-Comm Expo is a brand new event that will showcase the manufacturing supply chain for products, services and solutions supplying commercial enterprises and developments in space.
Space-Comm Expo will bring together the entire sector for two days of exhibition, conference sessions and networking, providing one of the first opportunities for industry to reconnect in person.
Come and visit us at stand G10 to speak to one of our subject matter experts about how we have been supporting deep space missions for the past 25 years and are continuing to help push the UK’s space mission forward.

Roundtable Session: Do we need a sovereign space capability - how would it provide security, resilience and economic benefit to the UK?

Wednesday 7 July | 10.00–11.00am

While space is a global market and we have been purchasing services from overseas for many years, developing our own sector will also allow us to grow resilience in services such as global positioning, secure data communications and military connectivity. It is estimated that the loss of navigation services alone would cost the UK around £1bn a day, which underlines the importance of having a system we can rely on.
During the roundtable we will assess the clear strengths in space technology, then identify to steps needed to translate innovative SME activity into global economic impact for the UK.

Keynote Theatre: 'Securing’ Britain’s Space Future - Providing a Safe Space Environment for Commercial Endeavours

Thursday 8 July | 2:35-3:20pm

How do we make space safe and secure for commercial operators, who’s responsibility is this? How do we work together with our allies to outpace the threats? Much has been made of the increasing threats in space and the need for more robust MOD structures to counter and deter those threats to assure the military ‘freedom of action in space’. However, what level of security can UK registered space companies expect from the UK government and what role should the MOD or other agencies take in securing UK space operators? The UK has done a lot of work to protect its citizens and organisations from cyber threats; if the same required for space? Do companies feel that the UK government is doing all it can do to protect their assets, those assets that generate significant prosperity for the UK and are driving the post -COVID recovery?
