Codenamed Molly’s Puzzle, this project resulted in a new tool to help the police and social services protect our nation’s children.

Programme Nelson is a project designed to transform how the Royal Navy gains insights from its data, allowing for rapid change in a highly secure environment.
The team, including experts from BAE Systems, has brought together skills from multiple disciplines ranging from data engineers, testers, dev ops engineers, and security practitioners, to delivery management, infrastructure experts, and scrum masters.

Building transformative models for the future
Supporting the Home Office with a National ANPR Service, providing a nationwide data-set, advanced analytics, live alerts and audit functions.
BAE Systems worked as a delivery partner for the national ANPR service (NAS). In a blended delivery team of the Home Office and suppliers, we worked with 36 separate force IT departments and five Management Service vendors, to deliver a high-spec solution.
- 11,000 cameras were feeding 44 disparate systems across police forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs)
- Collaborative working with 36 separate force IT departments and five Management Service vendors
- The resulting data set is believed to be the largest in civil government with over 50m ANPR reads per day
- The first national policing system to go live in five years
