Our corporate games captain Rachael Hoyle

We have had an excellent response for team members with 80 of our employees taking part.

Competing in 13 of the 22 sports available we have individuals and teams entered for badminton, golf, karting, netball, poker, rugby 7’s, running, soccer 6’s, swimming, table tennis, tennis, tenpin bowling and last but not least a dragon boat team.

Rachael Hoyle, BAE Systems Team Manager said: “We’ve had a fantastic response from employees and everyone involved is starting to get really excited about representing the company against some of the biggest companies in the country. The games will dominate Preston over the July weekend with sporting competitions taking place across a number of locations in the City. Enthusiasm amongst the BAE Systems team is starting to intensify, most teams have organised their own training session ahead of the Games weekend; a chance to get to know one another and in some cases get back into a sport they haven’t competed in for years! Even if people are not signed up to compete it would be great to see supporters turn out at the venues and cheer the team on – personally I am really looking forward to the weekend.”

The event timetable is now available with our first teams competing on Friday 13 July.
