This signals a strong advancement in the educational experience for secondary students at raising their interest in engineering sectors through outreach to school programmes. At the heart of this MOU is bringing the concept of developing future engineers with a mindset en route for industrialization of the nation towards vision 2020 by offering trainings and exposing to new learning experiences.
“Might-Meteor is focused on human capital development in high-technology and is now driving with new approaches by distinguishing the capabilities of the younger generation and provide a platform to enhance their talent in this arena” stated Puan Jasmin Baba, the Executive Director of Might-Meteor, after signing the MOU with John Brosnan, BAE Systems Regional Managing Director South East Asia.
John Brosnan said: ‘This is the next step on a very important educational initiative for Malaysia to develop the skills necessary to complete its journey towards achieving aerospace, defence and cyber-security engineering excellence. BAE Systems is proud to be associated with this programme and we look forward to developing this education partnership in the future.’
The collaboration between ourselves and MIGHT-METEOR will bring the outreach to school programs yearly and high-technology trainings for university graduates across the country. In the future, we have set a target to develop highly skilled aerospace engineers, aircraft maintenance technology and cyber security specialist in Malaysia using its technology. We have collaborated with multi-local and international companies in the aviation industry related to cyber intelligence, defense, electronics & system integration, military and technical services for over then 30 years - having forged a strong linkage in business, research and development.
